We are seeking a results-driven Manufacturing Supervisor to lead our mechanical assembly and welding teams at our Santa Fe Springs facility. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring production goals are met, and maintaining high standards in safety, quality, and delivery performance.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Manufacturing Supervisor will play a key role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across the shop floor.
Responsibilities
Oversee the assembly, manufacturing, and refurbishment of gearboxes and related equipment in alignment with production schedules.
Manage labor resources, materials, and workflow to ensure timely and efficient product delivery.
Assign tasks, provide clear instructions, and coordinate work schedules, including overtime when necessary.
Identify production challenges and implement effective solutions to maintain workflow and quality.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using LEAN manufacturing principles.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Engineering, Customer Service, and Accounting to meet customer and business requirements.
Train and develop team members, ensuring compliance with skill requirements and safety standards.
Promote a culture of safety and cleanliness by enforcing safety protocols and maintaining organized work areas.
Support equipment evaluations and contribute to cost-benefit analyses for new machinery or upgrades.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of experience in industrial manufacturing, preferably in mechanical power transmission or rotating equipment; or 8 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics.
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with LEAN manufacturing and ISO 9001:2015 standards is preferred.
Must be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in an ITAR-regulated environment.
